This lawsuit, which stemmed from a totally unexpected, unforeseen set of events that resulted in Ms. Merrin getting a concussion and lacerations on her lips, has been/is an extremely souring life experience. And not just because of the amount of dollar payoff that I ended up giving to Ms. Merrin. It soured almost every aspect of: enjoying going out on walks with Max; my general outlook and opinion of lawyers/attorneys (not that it was all that great to begin with); my opinion of (Southern) California…..its laws, its lawmakers, its overall draw of a certain type of person.
The following is merely my recounting, my experience, my opinion, my recollection, my reaction, my interpretation of what/how/why/when/where happened. I am not giving legal advice in any way. Nor am I attempting to malign anyone…..if I say something negative about any of the following people, it’s merely my opinion and my reaction to them. If anyone who was party to the incident has a different recollection, understanding, opinion of what happened, they are welcome to contact me —— I will ensure their commentary is added to this site.

- I arrived with Max to get keys from a fellow Tenant to borrow a pick-up truck; Max and I sat in one of the courtyard tables of the restaurant — Max was petted by the owner, a server, and a waitress…..the waitress petted Max as he laid down on the ground on his side; petting his head and other parts of his body. No display of aggression in any way from Max; I was waiting for
- After ordering and waiting for a small pizza to be
